From 14 February 2022 – Pre-admission Screening
- All patients will continue to be screened as per current processes and may be cancelled where COVID-19 risk factors are identified
- All patients – negative RAT conducted by the patient at home 12 – 24 hours prior to admission (a positive result MUST be notified to Stirling Hospital, negative results do not need to be reported)
- Patients can source their own RATs or patients can collect RATs from the front reception desk at Stirling Hospital but will need to provide details of their theatre booking as confirmation
From 14 February 2022 – Admissions
- All patients – negative RAT conducted on day of admission (to be completed by the patient at home prior to admission and a negative result to be presented to reception staff at admission – if the test is positive patients MUST contact Stirling Hospital and not present for admission)
- Patients can source their own RATs or patients can collect RATs from the front reception desk at Stirling Hospital but will need to provide details of their theatre booking as confirmation
- Overnight patients – RAT conducted 24-hour post procedure
- A parent / carer / support person of the patient is required to provide evidence of negative RAT on admission
- Carers / parents / support people, who are required to remain onsite during the admission, are preferably to be fully vaccinated (and those who are not fully vaccinated will be required to wear additional PPE)
Visitors
Two visitors per patient are now permitted at Stirling Hospital and are preferably to be fully vaccinated and must remain in patient rooms without wandering around the Hospital. At all times visitors must wear a level 3 surgical mask and maintain social distancing from staff and others. Visitors can attend the Café for takeaway only.
