MAINTENANCE MANAGER

PERMANENT PART TIME POSITION

The role of the Maintenance Manager is instrumental in supporting the hospital team to deliver the “Stirling Experience” to the community by ensuring the organisations buildings, grounds, equipment, and essential services are maintained and functioning. This position will be required to supervise and assist, discipline specific contractors and exercise independent judgment on routine matters. There is a requirement to participate in an on-call roster providing service and advice out of normal working hours.
 
You will have:
• A relevant trade or engineering qualification (highly regarded)
• Work Health and Safety knowledge and a commitment to keeping yourself and others safe
• Previous experience with managing contractors and supporting a team during construction works
• Understanding of theatre environments and essential supporting services
• Proficient computer skills
• Ability to lead and delegate tasks to the team
• Manage financial resources as allocated to the department
• Working knowledge of regulatory preventative maintenance requirements for a hospital environment
• Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills
• Exceptional Maintenance/handy-person skills
 
Essential requirements include:
• Driver’s licence
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Evidence of TGA approved COVID-19 vaccination + booster
• Satisfactory Working with Children certificate prior to employment
• Australian citizen or current VISA
• Successful pre-employment check

WARD / THEATRE CLERK

PERMANENT PART TIME POSITION

We are seeking a highly motivated person to support the clinical teams to deliver the “Stirling Experience” to the community. This is a shared part-time role between both the theatre and ward reception departments.  

You will have:

  • Previous administration experience within healthcare services
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Computer skills and be competent with Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of hospital administrations systems
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent telephone manner and ability to prioritise calls/emails
  • Ability to work harmoniously within a team environment and able to work independently
  • Data management skills

Essential requirements include:

PRE-ADMISSION COORDINATOR

PERMANENT PART TIME POSITION

Stirling Hospital is seeking a Permanent Part-time (0.7 FTE) Pre-Admission Coordinator to lead our team in delivering this valuable service to our patients

About the role

The Pre-Admission Coordinator oversees the daily operation of the pre-admission clinic. They are responsible for ensuring the effective assessment, planning, implementation and coordination of care for surgical patients from pre-admission to discharge. The Pre-admission Clinic assists to provide a positive experience and outcome for patients Specialists and the organisation. 

Acting as the liaison between Visiting Medical Officers, Clinical Staff, patients and their families. This role maintains and communicates current best practice knowledge in risk screening, preparation and optimisation of patients pre-surgery.

What you bring

  • Recent experience working within a surgical specialty area
  • Registered with AHPRA as a Registered / Enrolled Nurse
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership position
  • Advanced knowledge of pre and post-surgical processes
  • A desire to lead and motivate a team
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others
